Default Ready to camp

I had posted a thread a while back asking about campers and towing
I came across this unit at an auction last weekend
It weighs in at only 1000lbs and even has electric brakes
I got if for a pretty good price , we had a huge snow storm the day before the auction and turn out wasnt very good
My wife says it makes the Blazer look small LOL

Nice trailer

Keep your eye on the temps... also look into installing a trans temp gauge.

Looks like fun. I towed a pop up with my CC and it did ok, only problem was I could not see around or over it...for now, got lift kit install and tires coming.
I would check out a transmission cooler I got this one and its a great price and had the perfect amount of hose for my install.

I can take some pics on my install is you would like to see it. Its really easy to do, no metal cutting/drilling at all, only had to trim the plastic on the grille for a bolt head for one of the mounting brackets.

was already planning an aux. tran cooler
Would like to see your install pics please Karcinagin
From what I have always been told , circulate threw the aux cooler then then the rad cooler back to the trans. so you dont over cool in cold weather
Advice on "how to" install a temp gauge would also help

Trans temp gauge is straight forward.

They sell kits on ebay for around 50 bucks with the sending unit and every thing.
Just need to run the wire to the trans and install the sender Into the test port. Then wire it all up and your set.

Im sure they come with instructions.

I will get some pics for you, but that one with the link I showed you has a build in valve that when its cold will close so the fluid will bypass the fins. It comes with all the fittings to place it inline with the current cooler build into the radiator.

Take a look at my album here Trans Cooler Photos by Karcinagin | Photobucket
I labeled them with a description and some notes. I also put labeled the flow in the pics.

Flow goes like this:
Trans-out to top of radiator. This is where you place the cooler in-line.
If you have questions ask me and reference a pic if you need help understanding it.

Trans-out to supplied fitting to connect to hose.
Hose to cooler in (I did the top)
Cooler out to hose.
Hose to supplied fitting to top of radiator.
