Alright, so we see recalls in the news all the time, from bad parts, to not being able to stop your vehicle.

This is a thread to share all of those head scratching seemingly stupid recalls out there.

Yup its true, the Pontiac G6 has a bulletin about spider webs in the the vent tube for the fuel tank. The webs and the spider eggs clog the tube and the system wont vent properly causing a check engine light.
One of my favorite recalls was for what we called the brain tray recall.on the early 2000's or late 90's full size GM trucks we were installing a filler tray on the passenger side dash boards in the area above the glove box. This area was recessed and it was said that in an accident you may be able to get your head stuck between the dash and windshild in this area so we would have to install a hard plastic filler tray. It only come in 1 color (black) and if you did not want it installed you had to sign off on a form stating you did not want it. It was pretty funny, we would say if your head got stuck in there after an accident the filler tray could be removed to discard the blood and brain matter hence The Brain Tray name.
