Default Sold the blazer.

With much regret I sold my 02 Blazer the other day.
I bought a brand new Chevrolet Spark bi-fuel.
This car is gonna save me about 350 euros every month so i think i made the right choice.
I only use my car to get from home to work and back for 50 km each. I've never been off road with the blazer so i don't think i'll have the urge to do so with the Spark
I'll keep checking in sometimes and will try to help out with electrical problems. And maybe, when the dutch governement has come to it's senses about normal sized cars, I'll get another blazer or caprice.

Actually, the fuel itself isn't that much more expensive. It's the taxes that get you. I don't know about the Netherlands but in Britain, it's close to $8 or $9 per gallon once you add all the taxes. Of course Britain adds other taxes too. Value added tax. Congestion charge if you don't drive an eco-box into London and so on. There are even parking meters that you have to have a credit card as they don't take money but the instructions are so complex you usually end up with a ticket anyway.

As much as the U.S. annoys me at times, I don't want to live anywhere else. I couldn't afford it anyway.
