thats high tech
I am the receiver for the company I work for
I sign for product on any thing from carbon copy invoices to cell phone apps
Today I had something really high tech
The driver handed me a piece of paper that looked much like a cash register receipt from the local grocery store
Not the normal but what ever
I unloaded his trailer signed the cashier type bill of lading and photo copied it for my records
I tried to hand him back that paper and he says no that's your copy
Now he pulls out a little paper receipt pad and a electronic type pad like all the courier drivers have you sign
He writes the load info on the little paper receipt pad , has me sign and print my name with his special pen ????
On the corner of the little paper receipt pad is a box "transmit"
He checks the box with his pen and voila my signature appears on the electronic display just as clear as the paper pad
He tears off the top page of the paper pad and hands me it as receipt
Now that's some high tech **** right there

Probably an electronic pressure pad underneath the paper, just like those card readers at grocery stores. That would be the easiest way to do that. I suppose a pen with a couple of accelerometers and a whole lot of processing power could do the job as well, but I would guess that would be problematic at best, not to mention more expensive as well.
