I keep a small but full set of sockets in it at all times, plastic molded case and a bag of extras. I think it was a Kragen brand, I used to like them, but they're starting to feel loose (and Kragen doesn't exist anymore). Started buying Craftsman hand tools, and think I'll continue to do so.

Harbor Freight is great, as long as you really only the tool once! I have a harbor freight air compressor that is over 10 years old and never needed parts, MANY hours of use. But many things break. I just bought a $10 grease gun that wouldn't even work once. A real life saver of late has been the 4-ton hydraulic ram kit, would love to add the puller attachment.

For specialty tools, I've started to like OTC Tools. Not the cheapest ones, but close, and last much longer than the cheapest ones. I have oil filter pliers, torsion bar tool, and 2/3 jaw puller.

Air tools, if nothing else, a good tire inflator / gauge and duster nozzle. 1/2" impact gun for tough stuff, and I've been trying to use air ratchets to avoid hours of turning ratchets by hand.

Recently got a small and cheap electric pressure washer from Walmart. 1500 PSI, Great for mud / grease, but not strong enough to effect the paint.
