Default Lowering a 97 blazer?

I was wondering where I could find info on what I'll need to lower my 97 Blazer, should I use air bags for this.
Has anyone here done this with success?
I'd like to drop it about 6 inches when parked if possible and be able to raise it when driving.
Any help and or info will be greatly appreciated by me.

Thank you,
Jess Red Horse

If you want 6 inches lower you might as well go big of go home and bag it.
If you end up deciding that you do want to bag it(and take on the work yourself) here are a few links that may help: 99 2dr, 01 2dr.
You may also want to talk to packofqtipsif you dont want to go so wild(he kept his rear seats). He doesnt lay frame but it still looks much better than stock.

Thanks for the responce folks,
After visiting more than a few pages posting pics of lowered Blazers and other Lt trucks I've desided it isn't for me, if anything with the snow we get up here I should be looking at raising the thing.

I'm happy that I didn't jump in with both feet and commit myself to such a radical change without doing some reasearch.

I like the LOOK of a lowered Blazer but not crazy about the damage I could inflict on pot holes, road junk from other cars and downed tree limbs (which we get a lot of up here).

Thanks again.
Jess Red Horse.

Thats why you just drop it alittle. My 2wd 97(see sig)has a 2/4 drop and it drove great in the snow, handled better too.
