welcome from ks. i would like to say now that you've purchased a vehicle that has many notorious "oh not this again" small issues that can be costly, but your in luck. besides having its numerous small issues, which are very well documented here and many other sites it is a very dependable vehicle. i owend a 1998 that i drove over the 200k mark w/ no major mechanical issues. as long as you keep on top of things the blazer/bravada should be dependable for years.

1. change oil regularly and use manufactured recommended fluids - dont go cheap, cheap means cheap, and w/ that means expensive later
2. keep an eye on the gear lube in the front and rear transfer case - the gearing in these is very precise if you run it dry they tend to eat up faster than im used to in other 4x4's ive driven
3. keep a good amount of gas on hand - if your using the oem fuel pump they are notorious for overheating, consider filling up everytime you get below 1/2 tank. the gas works as a coolant for the fuel pump. or purchase aftermarket fuel pump that "cups" gas on itself. these are more expensive but you replace less by burning them up
