Bout to get my blazer
You didn't say how many miles are on it, but considering it's over 8 years old now, I'd put my first few dollars into maintenance. There may not be anything wrong with it, (that you know of)but you may be surprised what you'll find when you start crawling around and underneath it. If it's near 100k miles, I'd want to...
flush the coolent
tune up (plugs/wires/dist cap/rotor)
tranny flush/filter change
oil and filter change
check front suspension components
If you've never worked on a vehicle before, these small jobs are pretty simple anda good way to get familier with your Blazer. While you're under it, you may even notice other things like leaky oil filter lines, or a transmission fluid leak, thatcould have otherwise gone unnoticed.
All totaled you might have $150 in maintenance items, but then you can have piece of mind. Cause there's nothing worse then spending all your money on mods, only to have it break down a week later and not have the money to fix it.
