ya was nice to have that cheap fix. The rear driveshaft is a different story. Supposedly the fixed slip yoke is no longer longer manufactured and has been discontinued, The repair for the rear shaft was quoted @ $2100+. That's gunna have to wait till next month Holiday season and 3 birthdays this next month won't allow for that repair.

But she back up and rolling with fwd atm amd has been for the last 2 weeks.

That's kinda what I thought. Amd that was a low quoted I was told. I'm planning on taking it to another drive line shop amd get another quote. I was planning for $800-1000 . But $2100 seems pretty high.

I don't think I paid that much for all three of my driveshafts brand new, custom built by Tom Woods. Of course, I'm talking USD, but I would definitely get another quote if I were you.

my prices are in Canadian, but $2100 is still a hefty bill. I did send it off to the drive line shop through a local parts store so maybe they put their cut into the price,

I'll pick up the shaft tomorrow and drop it off at another place. Hopefully they hit me with a lower quote.
