Default replaced distributor in 2003 blazer now wont start

I have an 03 blazer. The bearing went out on the distributor and blew the rotor. I replaced the distributor and now it won't start. I have lined up all the marks and TDC but nothing works. Does anyone have any suggestions Please?

Welcome from New York. As for your no start check the correct section for tech info and if you do not find your answers post the question there. Good luck.

One low tech way is to make sure #1 is top dead center on compression stroke and the rotor button is pointing to #1 on the distributor cap.

You will feel it to try to blow you finger out of the hole when it starts to compress. A screw driver tip resting on top of the piston can help you 'feel' when you are top dead center. Thankfully #1 is not a hard plug to remove and replace.

Remember as the distributor drops in that it is going to cause the button to turn so it will not be pointing to #1 until it is fully seated.
