Two things here... The Supercharger on the SeriesII 3.8L is very reliable.. They won't have issues for 100,000mi. If treated properly.
The Windjammer and others like it are a entire different story and design. They are not as effecient or reliable.
If someone made a SC like the factory GM 3.8's and it was cheap enough I'd say why not for a small cost if you just want a little extra power. At least It'd last.

Most of the guy's with the SeriesII in the GTP's ect go turbo if they want to make any power... There was a guy up here at Martin a few years ago with a 100% stock GTP with a built transmission and a turbo kit with IC. He went consistant 11.6's@115mph. It's his daily driver... Where stock he said he was high 14's. That's a huge jump.

If your a deal finder like me and you read through my thread on fullthrottlev6.com you can put together a used Typhoon setup for much less than you'd have in just the purchase price of any SC.... Make more power and be more dependable.

ZR2Dan.. what are your IAT's.. And how much timing did you have to pull from the timing map to get out of knock ? Are you using Meth/Alky to cool the temps?
Send me a HPT log from a full throttle run from 0 to top of 3'd gear (1/4mi) on a 80deg
day.. I'd be interested to see those numbers.
