Default New Jeep

So my gf just bought a new Jeep...traded in the one you see here (Her '89 YJ) https://blazerforum.com/photo.asp?ph...Type=6&apage=1 for a'98 TJ. I will post pics when she takes some...

The guy that bought her YJ took it out for a "test drive". When he came back...it was full of mud. We asked him where he went, and he said he went down to the trails by our place and took it offroading![] Talk about a test drive!

We also have 4 vehicles in the driveway. She was blocked in this morning by my Blazer and 2 other cars...so she decided to drive across the lawn and over the curb. I say she should just park it there and prove how redneck we are

Nice, she has to love the new jeeps suspension, after driving that YJ. So much better......

Any plans for a lift?

It came with one...she lucked out pretty good with it...it has 33's and a 4" lift already. I'll get some pics maybe today.
It has a lightbar, which has gotta go...I hate how they look and so does she, a speaker bar, stereo, CB, crome front bumper. It's a total mall-crawler, but she plans to put a Warn bumper on next spring. He was asking $12,000 and she got home down to $9,000. The tires are practically brand new, too. She got a really great deal. And yes, the ride is SO much better...I thought I'd get whiplash in the YJ when we hit bumps...the TJ is damn smooth.

Smooth Tj? Wow, i got to see that. Mine beats the crap out of you but hey, it can catch air and soak up the bump pretty good. I got a 6" lift and 33" tires on it. It's no blazer but it's alright.

Ya, I have a feeling he's going to wreck it within a year. He wheels it pretty hard, and he's only 18, so I don't think he gets it yet that it will be a crap load of money to fix it back up!

Yea, it's an expensive hobby. I'm lucky my buddys dad owns Newcastle Salvage so i get parts free. Belive me or not this truck is on it 12th or 13th trany. I'v busted axles and drive shafts. I do most of the work myself so i save some coin and i like doing it. It part of the fun. Break somethingand wrench on it with some friends. Like i said before, my front axle is busted but i want to put a bigger one in ( dana 60), no 4 wheel drive right now.
