I have a 92 blazer s10 4.3L V6 5 speed dead stock with but anyway I also have a 6000LB warn winch and here is a pic of my buddy stuck in mud at stave lake bc, that day I pulled out about 8 ppl with my winch, but he was the only person in this particular spot that I couldnt get out with my winch, trying to pull him out, my blazer was actually pulling towards him, so our buddy pulled him out with his trooper and tow straps

i'm sure glad i had my winch tonight!
i had to drag my busted-***, siezed rear drums, Jetta onto my trailer earlier tonight.
was going to resurrect it, but after i ripped out the rear frame rail & factory recovery point on it, i just winched it up onto the trailer, probably gonna send it to the recyclers.
ya for the big 9000lb winch. saved my *** tonight.

Now that's a winch boys and girls.
I've got a winch, but it's in the closet until I weld me up some receiver hitches for the front and back with a pinned mounting plate.

I have an 8500 lb SUPERWINCH.
Considering my Blazer snowcat weighs in around 8000 lbs and of course the particular resistance when you are winching it has been amazing. I use one pulley block with it.
I blew my rear end a couple years back and i had to winch it 500 yards back to my place. I did it over two days, about 75 feet at a time, cabling to every tree along the way but it did it, and the winch never burned out! I did realise I need an auxillary battery if I really wanted to speed thing up. I would have to let the engine idle and charge battery without winching once in awhile.
I bought the winch on sale at a store here in Canada called Princess Auto. It was such an amazing cheap price I didnt think I could go wrong. $329.00! It owes me nothing after that escapade!
