RE: rock crawling
These trucks are indeed underestimated. I wish I saw more of them off road, but all I see is Toyotas and Jeeps. I hang out with some Land Rover guys so of course I see a lot of those, too. But people are always suprised at what my Chev can do. But I'm starting to get freaked out reading all these 4x4 t case problems.

Not really rock crawlin, just an easy 4x4 trail in Washington state. (I just thought this thread could use some more pics) Still had to be careful, there were some tite spots. Couldnt have done it without the NP233c T case I got out of a '98 S10 Blazer. Everyone was in 4Lo the whole trail, for almost 2 hours.

RE: rock crawling
nice, i have never seen an lifted astro before. thats pretty sexy man. my dad used to have a 90's model one. we called it the bread box be/c it looked like a lof of bread. it was 2wd but, i tell you one thing, that truck was a monster. when i was in boy scouts, my dad would have to be the tow rig b/c the other leaders didn't want to or couldn't. so, the astro was full of kids and gear, and pulling a 5000lb trailer and it wouldn't even now tthat it was there. she finally died with 200,109miles on it. great truck. anywayz, how is the astro?

RE: rock crawling
Thanks for the compliments. I'm very staisfied with the all round performance of the Astro van. I keep saying that there must have been somebody at GM that wanted to make an ZR2 Astro and must have been vetoed. So instead, I had to build my own. Its been fun, but a lot of research. Haven't quite had it a year yet, so I've been kinda busy with it. Thanks.
Edit: I just realized all those pics were taken before my pop top was installed.

RE: rock crawling
Sweet! Nice flex shots, too. My van pops the rear dutch doors open somewhere before that point.[sm=insomnia.gif]
