besides, i had the whole thing figured out in the very 1st second of video.
1) he's using a Ford.
2) he's using a s**ty tie down strap.
3) he tied it to the BOTTOM of the pole.
4) did i mention he was using a Ford?

................... the nissan died because the computer is under the seat and has no provisions for being even weatherproof much less waterproof. The transmission took on water and the clutches are gone. He got about 6 inches of water on the passenger side at its highest.
it was my BF neighbour's boyfriend's truck. but his Pathfinder was a little worse off than your brother's was. we were about 40 minutes (or so) into the trail. and the truck was in the middle of a 60 foot long, 3 1/2 foot deep trench (fill 3/4 full of water of course) when his GF yells out about the water coming in. then some one yells out about where that computer is sitting. that's when the s**t hit the fan, and a fun day in the trails turns into 9 hours of driving to get my trailer to haul his broken *** home.
fun times indeed!

@Silver00LT that video is AWESOME!
still rocking the 5000lb CGU 1/B
tie down straps for light self recovery, and tieing the hell out of things. we put them through hell, then what ever is worse than hell for a tie down, and they still keep coming back for a beating in all of my deployments so that makes them good enough for me.
recently got a 20" 10k lb strap for hard recovery (slight running start) and towing as i just dont feel right using cables
and in keeping with the exploder:
Wait it out
and this repo fail
