Alright I figured I would join in also. This ones not as extreme or urban as I would of liked it to be but it will have to do for now.haha

I have a ZR2 carbon fiber skid...it was narrow enough. but too long.

carbon fiber skid.... ? really? wtf is that for, looks? wouldn't carbon fiber shatter on impact?!

You do realize that carbon fiber can be made stronger than steel and definitely stronger than plastic.

Very true, but isn't the problem with carbon fibre that it can't flex very much if at all? I think his point was that if it hits something then it would shatter right away since it doesn't flex. That's why you always see carbon fibre hoods on cars that have been in accidents all broken and shattered. That was my understanding anyway...school me if I'm wrong.

Yeah I was going to say that carbon fiber does not allow any sort of impact. It shatters way too easily and it costs too much. Its one thing if you feel the need to put a carbon fiber hood on your honda to prove its mad horsepower but under a truck?? really?
For my needs the plastic one works fine.
