Default $$$ and paint job?

Any idea on how much I would be looking at for a paint job on a 4 door? A surface rust spots, and a bad preavous paint job from an accedent 2 owners ago (they even clear coated over the rear pinstripe, and BlazeremblemsLOL) I have 4 differnt collor reds,my wife thinks I'm nuts but guy's at work can tell to! I still whant it red. I know that the price is hard to nail down. But I just wanna have a ball park idea. Thanks.

if you take it to a professional shop about 3grand. Seriously. IF you have a few connections to a painter who needs $ they might do it for the 1500-1750 range on the side.

Yeah, I'm planning on $4000-$5000 in the paint on my Chevelle when I get there. And that's just in the base coat, stripes, and clear. That's with having the car all blocked out and ready for the base coat[sm=yikesomg.gif]...

Yeah, I would go to a professional shop, definately don't go to Macco, cause they are super cheap unless they finally actually hired good painters or now have a higher than $1,000 paint job. They won't do the inside door jams unless you specify it and pay extra, I didnt do this and it makes it crappy and I don't want to know how it would have turned out if they had done the inside door jams.

They are also known to paint over emblems... my friend tyler can attest to that. His Sunfire was red, went and got it painted white at Maaco, painted over the frontPontiac emblem. Its also doing the orange peel on the plastic bumpers. Good smooth job, just won't stick.
