2000 Blazer Interior Lights won't work when opening door

Interior lights will work when you turn the switch on in the cab but will not work whe you open the driver's side door or passenger side door It is a 2 door LS model Any help or suggestions would be great Thanks

not that i claim to know much about cars, but did you try that little dome override push switch? when its out i believe the interior lights come on when a door is open.

You could also check to make sure the switches in the doors are functioning correctly. If they're stuck in, that would make the switch think the door is still closed.
