One of my most recent projects on the blazer has been repairing my center console lid. Dorman sells a full replacement for like $50 and you can get used on eBay for like $70-$80 with the same color of course but I didn’t want to have to get the vinyl dyed and I didn’t want to spend the extra money for a color matching replacement that potentially had the same issues so this was the course I chose, photos bellow:

I used a 3D pen and some heated plastic welding staples to rebuild as much as possible and weld it together I used a 3D pen and some heated plastic welding staples to rebuild as much as possible and weld it together
I then strengthened the weak cracks with JB weld plastic I then strengthened the weak cracks with JB weld plastic I then strengthened the weak cracks with JB weld plastic
I then used a dremel and hand sanded any high points or sharp ends from the heated staples to get a nice smooth surface so it slides in easily to the padded vinyl. I went back over it lightly with jb weld to further smooth it I then used a dremel and hand sanded any high points or sharp ends from the heated staples to get a nice smooth surface so it slides in easily to the padded vinyl. Next step is fitting it back in so I’m going to attempt to use a heat gun to fit it on and e6000 to attach the vinyl back to the lid. Worst case scenarios I will cut it again and reweld it inside the padded vinyl.
Lastly I will be doing like christine_208 did and fill in the lid with ABS slurry to make it rock solid, more pics to come!
I bought a complete console from a buddy the same color as mine, along with a bunch of other items I pulled of a Blazer he was parting out, to include seats, mirrors, turn/parking lights, rear lights, head lights, cup holder insert, and miscellaneous other items all for about $50 last year sometime. I should be set on parts for a while now, to go with the other parts I've accumulated over the years.
Regarding what I did for my repair, first-off my lid was not as bad as your's was!
Second, I used strips of plastic that I attached with painted on acetone to the underside of the inner lid to reinforce it. I then added a slurry as a fillet along the edges of the reinforcement strips.

thanks for sharing that! I was having trouble finding it through the search feature.
my e6000 idea was an utter failure 😂 I’m about to mix up some slurry right now and fill it in but I’m still at a loss as to how to attach the pvc to the abs (vinyl to plastic) so any suggestions are welcome!
I was able to finesse the cover on with the heat gun and a screwdriver with minimal tearing The current problem
