Default Digital gauge cluster swap

I have a 93 s-10 blazer with the standard needle gauges, and there's a blazer at the local boneyard that I've been eyeballing that has the digital gauge cluster, What's going to be the best way to swap these? Can it be done? I've worked in car audio/electronics for 10 years now, so the wiring shouldn't be a problem, but I'm worried that the speedo in mine is cable driven and the digital one isn't, or is there a way around that?
