Envoy Conversion
#13
Ok rather than starting another thread I am just going to jack this one and keep all the swap info in one place and then do a full DIY write up when I'm finished if no one has any objections to that!! I am about to start piecing together the Envoy swap for my front end and have a couple questions. First for me to swap the headlights will I need to swap the core support? I've read mixed reviews about this some say yes some say no. I have compared them without removing much more than the grill on an Envoy and they look really similar with a few exceptions. The biggest thing I noticed was a few "clip holes" that hold the grill on are missing from my Blazer. I think with a bit of work I can mod mine to get around that. Beyond that they look really similar. The next question is the lights, can I use the bulbs that I have now or do I need to get the pigtails for the Envoy lights and wire them to work with the new Envoy housings? Any input would be awesome I hope to get the bumper and grill very soon and then I will work on ordering the headlights and if needed the core support later.
Edit: sorry its so long just figured I would get it all in there!!

hey every one i just happen to have the Envoy version, and the blazer lights will not fit properly because of the center plastic grill, i have even tryed to swap a set of blazer lights in to the Envoy, but the blazer has that center chrome strip that seperats the composit lamp from the lower turn/marker, and you will need a find of a life time for a Diamond Edition..
Just a note on the Envoy Headlights, They came mostly with HID lights,
the only replacement bulbs are from GM, and you must buy the bulb and
ignitor as a assy... the price for one bulb assy. is over $500.00, that is why is swapped in jimmy lights and sold the HID crap on Ebay... have fun..
im getting rid of that big bulky plastic bumper assy, and bought a steel
offroad replacement
