Hi there I saw that you were installing a gmc envoy spoiler how did you add the new leds and wire them up? And how did you also mount the spoiler? I bought a spoiler for my 04 blazer hoping to put my on soon hopefully I get a response! Since this was a a post from 1 year ago, LOL
pardon the profanity but it almost looks like you could get away with a Durango one but I don't know if that's part of the deck lid on a Durango or not...
Horrendous to deal with, agreed.
I will be replacing my entire back window with another that the spoiler is already attached to.
I figure if if doesn't work out, I will swap my old window back in, and put a different rear spoiler light I have on it.
Hello, I'm so glad I found your thread in this forum! Even though it's now November 2024, this is the exact problem I'm having on my 2000 Envoy (~ 430,000 miles and counting). Those 4 clips that secure the spoiler to the window - one of mine broke and wont hold the spoiler in place Now the spoiler is drooping and interferes with the back window wiper blade -it gets stuck when traveling because the spoiler is in the way.
I tried using Gorilla glue to attach the mounting in the clips (thinking a good glob of glue would hold it tight) but that didn't work. Then I tried using Gorilla tape to help push the spoiler up high on the back and secure the tape on the top - that worked for a little while but now it's drooping down with the tape too. I even tried magnets to keep the tape up but still no luck.
Did you end up replacing your back window or were you able to find a part number for the clips? Given my model is 24 years old, parts may be hard to find if at all. Do you have any suggestions on how to fix the broken clip or know of a spoiler that might look close to the original that's easy to install on the current window? I'd welcome any advice you have, thank you!
