I found that that prep spray isnt that good it leaves a greasy residue on the plastic, so i just used some mineral spirits then some dish soap and water, then rinsed it with water then dried with a towel. here's how it turned out

It's ya'lls trucks but I wouldn't use krylon, unless its done carefully it looks too thick. I know it clogs sandpaper bad if your trying to wetsand it smooth.
The method I use is to sand all my parts smooth first starting with 80-150-400, then I use bulldog adhesion promoter, then a high build primer. I smooth that with 400 then reapply if needed or start painting. I put 4-6 coats of paint on the part then start wetsanding with 600 or 800 being careful not to sand down to the primer. Once I have it all smooth with a good layer of paint I clear coat it. I lay a couple of layers of clear down then wetsand it with 1500 being careful not to cut through the clear. Then I either respray or start with polishing compound to bring the shine back to the clear.
So far I've done 2 trucks and everything but the dash from the doors forward in my blazer with good luck doing it this way. If your wanting to do any soft plastics like the dash you need to lay a layer or 2 of fiberglass down first then paint that.

would the interior paint stick good to the fibreglass? and what is wetsanding

Yes it sticks to fiberglass.
Wetsanding is just what it sounds, you use water to help lube and clean the paper and it gives a smoother finish. You don't have to have water running over it the whole time but I use a cheap spray bottle and keep the part wet.
