I had a 2 door 2wd GMC Jimmy i put a rear tire rack on it (it didnt come with one) and the sheet metal was way thinner and i had to cut in several places to get to the outer sheet metal from the inside to put some backing plates in. It is very sturdy but left the outside sheet metal bent in a couple places. I've seen a few of you out there with the rack on your 4 doors and was wondering if there is a better way to do this? Becasue i'm getting a 4 door and REALLY want that rack on it too. If someone could describe how they did it that would be greatly appriciated.
