Just picked up this 97. Been piecing the interior back together, but having a hard time finding a set of seats. really just wanted to find a stock set of seats out of another 95-97 Blazer 2 door or S-10 pick`up, but that's proving to be nearly impossible. The ones in it aren't original and not adjustable, being someone put electric seats in and they're roached beyond use. What would just bolt in and do the newer 98+ seats use the same mounting locations? I really don't want to mess with fabbing anything up if I don't have to.
The seats from a newer style Blazer should bolt up fine. I swapped heated leather seats with the memory function from a 2002 into my '96 to replace the ratty manual cloth seats. The power plugs were already there underneath the carpets.
I have also heard of people bolting the cushion parts from a Cavalier or Sunfire onto the rails from the Blazer seat. Those are usually pretty easy to find since they were so common, and had better side support than the flat S-series seats. I'm sure there's info somewhere on the forum on the swap, but I'm pretty sure at least some of the bolts lined up, and the rest just required a bit of drilling to make new holes. Very little fabrication required if my old memory serves correctly.
