Tailgate/Liftgate Swap

Tailgate/Liftgate Swap
I have a 2000 4 door 4wheel drive LS. I have seen two different style rear body styles one the lift gate type which I have, and the tailgate style which I want. How hard would It be to swap out they look very similar. Has any one else done this.
