Default Tire Rack Paint?

I am getting ready to remove and paint the rear tire rack, and I was wondering what everyone considered the best paint for this piece. Engine paint, Flex Seal, or just regular automotive....or What?

Waiting to hear.

Thanks

Same here. Used flat black and it came out just fine. I even used it on the window trim and you couldn't tell where I touched it up.

I used flat black, and I'm not thrilled with it. It's not good, but it's not bad. For the amount of work that I put into installing the tire carrier (mine wasn't stock), I would have liked to have the appearance be something I loved, rather than something I'm "meh" about. Again, it isn't BAD, just be advised, that rust WILL go through rustoleum paint. Maybe it's my fault for not going with rustoleum hammered. If I had to do it again, I'd probably do either silver or black rustoleum hammered.

I would choose either Duplicolor low gloss engine enamel or rustoleum paint.

Best paint for the job? Powder coat, bar none!
