Undercar Neons
I was just browsing the MD Code to see what the local laws are. It explains why I never see this cool stuff on the streets here.
I wanted to put red neons under my Blazer, but the law states that no red or blue lights can be visible from the front of the vehicle. I wanted to use a red license plate light on the back, but the law says the light must be white or amber. (I'm still using it. LOL)
Clear corners are legal, and it looks like it is also legal if I put a single red neon or LED under the rear bumper. Anywhere else could result in a ticket.
Have any other Marylanders here used LEDs or neons? Ever got stopped?
Their main concern seems to be preventing people from impersonating cops. Yeah, I know. Seems ridiculous, but that's the reasoning.
