Hydrogen Generator (HHO) system?

Well, one answer might be that the American companies know that almost nobody is going to spend $100k - $500k for a car. Do any of the companies you mentioned sell a car for $25k?

Very true! But that does kinda leave the door open for this kind of technology. I think HHO systems are very possible, we just have to find a way to get the research into it and get it economically sound.

I agree with the do it then post results mentality. Any sort of system is possible as long as it gets your wheels rolling.

I think you would save more money in the long run and be less headache to just swap from gas to propane is you feel the need to run a alternate gas fuel. Then you won't even have to worry about gasoline at all.

Well guys, i hate to say it but car companies need to do something soon. I'm a geologist and trust me, if we continue to use fossil fuels at the rate we are now, it'd be a miracle if they lasted another 20 years. In regards to whether you should invest, it depends on some key factors: how much you're willing to invest in the product to achieve desired results, and how far you're willing to modify your ride to work in conjunction with the kit...basic rule of thumb: if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is...but don't lose hope, there are tests and concepts being done as we speak in regards to hydrogen, H2O, and many other renewable resources.
