x2 on that. No other choice. Call the Hypertech tech support line and talk to them.

 

Yup, I have a Hypertech Power Programmer III & I made absolutely sure 3 ways from Sunday (I asked him in different ways lol) when I got it used off eBay, the guy had programmed the truck back to stock. Otherwise it's a paperweight, & a light one at that.

When/if you do get it cleared for use on your truck make sure you install the driver on your computor & update it BEFORE you hook it up to your truck. It won't allow any updates if the vehicle it has programmed isn't set back to stock. I'm not sure why.
But you could always set the truck back to stock to check for updates.

 

Did you ever get the programmer figured out?

 

Nah...I ended up giving it back to him. Another one of my buddies is going to buy it from him. He's gonna try and call Hypertech to get them to reset it. I didn't feel like fooling with it. Id rather buy 33's any way
