Default hope this sight is a hair puller saver

I bought a 94 chevy s10 blazer in december and unfortumatly it was a "as is deal" had only 75000 miles on it so thought it would last a while.............right?

first problem my truck will idle fine for a couple of sec then sutters, my rpm will drop then skyrocket. then at low speeds it will do this also only now it likes to stall. it has been doing this more often wile turning or slowing down if that helps

next my transmission is leaking and dispite all my feeble protest my dad wants to fix it ourselves. we know it is the rear seal and a seal in the transfer case? how hard will this be? by the way i have a 4.3 v-6 vortechfrom the repare book i obtained it says there were 3 diff types of transmission for that size engine also i replaced the fuel filter after some ingenious improvizing

and if i have broken some unwritten rule about aplying technical questions here i will apologize in advance as this is the first forum page i have ever applied to

Welcome to the forum. I agree with SDimeLady's conclusion, and read the replies on the other threads you posted too. Good luck on getting the truck fixed and post up if you have any more questions or need some help.
