Post your torsion bar lift here
if you are thinking about the solid axle route.... buy a suv or truck that already has solid axles... if you do a solid axle swap to your blazer it will cost quite a bit and it will make your ride quality terrible. If you are lifting for looks go for the body lift and/or the full drop lifts (bds, trailmaster, or superlift). Now if you want a daily driver to be a monster off roader as well I would recommend the solid axle swap but don't use leaf springs. (at least in the front) coil's will give you the best ride quality. If you have no experience with a solid axle swap or know anyone who has done it it might not be a good idea
Yea i hear ya on the cost, I have researched it and I found a company that does it with the four link which is the way to go from what i have read, all my experience in trucks is with full size ones this is my first midget, I want it to look good but it has to perform well also, and I dont really wanna be changin parts all the time. I realise things break it just seems like with these blazers its habit forming. One other question when you lift it increases the chance of rollover right??????????
Looks nice Lucas, any luck with the pictures of the Blacked-out wheels? Also, are you running 31's? I have those same stock wheels, was wondering what they would look like blacked-out, as I am also running 31's, but on stock suspension with no lift whatsoever.
Hey guys, I just got my blazer about a week ago and I already want to raise it. Its a daily so I need it to be reliable but I live in a suburb of chicago and a little more ground clearance in the winter is always a plus. With that being said I think I like the TB crank with 2" shackles. What am I looking at in terms of early maintance with that kind of "lift"? Thanks guys!
took me a weekend by myself, never doing a project like that before in my life, going step by step!-OSS
