Default 1988 blazer rear diff

hey, i have a 1988 4x4 blazer that im about to replace the rear diff because it is making some noise, i was wondering ifa diff out of a newer 1995ish or so rearend with disc brakes will fit, or if a 2wd diff will fit is there any difference in the width between the spring perches?, or any difference between the the actuall diff itself between from axle flange to axle flange/ backing late to backing plate. thanks guys any help is a aprecciated

i'd try to stay in the 80s year blazers if possible. im not sure if a 90s blazer would work or not.
