1988 chevy blazer s10 rear brake swap to disc
hello I have a 1988 Chevy s10 blazer that I'm making into a off-road killer I'm new to the off-road life and would love to learn I hear that disc brakes are better then drum brakes for a lot of reasons but I am looking and can t seem to find a conversion kit to take the truck from drum rears to disc rears so my question is is I possible and is there a kit for it

My write up my conversion to disc brakes on my 89 S15 Jimmy using OEM parts, some new some boneyard. One of the hurdles is getting the E-Brake to work. I also had to weld a mounting tab on the axle housings for the hard brake line to mate up to the caliper brake hose.

The easy way to accomplish this is to pull a complete rear axle that has the gear ratio you need and swap it over. The E-Brake is still an issue. You either need to have an adapter for the disc brake side or do like I did and work on the cable end.
