Default 2wd and 4wd Axles

Is there a difference in length between a 2wd rear axle and a 4wd rear axle? I have a 1997 Blazer 4x4 by the way.

4wd axle is wider

Normal 4x4 is 2 inches wider, zr2 is 2 more inches wider
