Question 4 low issues

I have a 99 Blazer with push button 4WD on the dash. I just got back from a two month deployment and the car was sitting while I was gone. Everything worked fine before I left. I got back and started her up and let her sit for a few minutes then drove her around. It works fine in 2wd and 4 hi. I stop and put it into 4 low and when I toke off it was really slow, felt like I was pulling something super heavy. Then it would go to shift and it would jerk real hard. There was no noises or bangs or anything. Wondering if anyone would have an idea what might be causing this. Maybe someone has experienced this before. Thanks for the help.

Are you sure that it shifted into low range? Any codes present?
