4wd shaft play and leak
Hey everyone
Recently decided to want to get my 4wd working seeing winter is around the corner, so I got a new vacuum switch, actuator and cable.
History is the 4wd did work when I first bought it but would only work here and there aswell sometimes when you got it into 4HI it would just stay there an itd take 10 mins to finally get it out. Hasn't been working in last 3 months.
So I decided to take out the triangle piece that has the cable coming off of it for the actuator, the shaft that is in there that controls the 4wd has quite a bit of side to side play, is this bad? it also leaks like a sieve when i took that off, notice wetness by the axles too.
I know when I was at the junkyard getting some pieces I tested another blazer by just pulling the wire that goes to the actuator and I hear a click on those, not on my Jimmy though.
Is there anyway to fix this, an easy fix? or does it require taking out the differential and replacing or repairing?

Anybody? I looked at an exploded picture of the part, seems that the leak could be fixed with just a seal
But what about the shaft that looks to be attached to a shift fork, would it be some bearing inside or something that isnt letting the truck go into 4wd?
