Do you have a drill, measuring tape, drill bits, and a hacksaw?

I'm spoiled with a drill press and band saw but it only took me 20 minutes to make mine out of some 1/2 inch thick (way overkill and x2 thickness of most good ones) plate I had laying around. Just remember its 2 inches added to the center to center of the holes for 1 inch of lift you want. So example the factory shackle is 4 inches C2C and you want 2 inches of lift your new measurement is gonna be 8 inches C2C.

I agree, why buy it if you can build it? I couldn't find an SAS kit that did what i wanted, so I built it for less than the shipping to get a prefabbed one to my door.

a couple pieces of 3/8x2 flat bar and a bit of your time = you save $$$

If ya don't have a welder

I'd suggest at least finding a welding shop in the yellow pages and have them weld in a support.

I have a welder so I weld a support in all mine.
