94 s-10 Blazer Transfer Case Stuck in 4 low
I have a 1994 s-10 Blazer, I recently replaced the transmission with one from a junk yard (the old one was going). Then when I got it put back together I couldn't get it to come out of 4 wheel low. It's a push button, and when you press the 4 high button you can hear it clicking like it wants to go but doesn't. I've tried multiple things to get it to come out, like pushing it back in forth while in neutral and pressing the button, driving it around pressing the button, letting it coast in neutral and pressing the button. Most recently I took the front drive shaft, the yolk, and the encoder off and tried manually taking it out of 4 low, but can't get it to move still. I then noticed that the encoder is turning and looks like it's working properly. Should I take the entire transfer case off and try getting it to move? Is it something I messed up while replacing the transmission? Or is there something I have yet to try? Any help would be greatly appreciated as the snow is now flying and I'm about to be without a vehicle.
Thanks.
Thanks.
