how can i verify that when i got to 2wd that my front gearbox has completely disengaged?

first you need to list what year blazer, what type of 4WD, and what your problem is, you might get alot more results if you post year and type.

sorry, 98 ls pushbutton 4x4 4dr. just wondering if my front diff is actually disengaging. got a humming noise from the front. not def. if it is a wheel bearing or not. just looking at all options
