Default 4x4 front differential axle bearing question.

Hello. I have a 1994 Chevy blazer (full size) 4x4 of coarse with independent front suspension. I noticed both my front axle seals were leaking at the flange where the CV axle bolts to the axle stubs. I also noticed a decent amount of up and down play on the axle stubs. I’m thinking that’s the reason for the leaking seals. I can replace the seals but does anyone know if there is a axle support bearing that can be replaced as well or does the seal do most of the supporting?

Thanks for any info.

I did this repair on my the drivers side of the front axle on my 1999 (S-10 sized) Blazer. If the design of yours is similar to mine, then there would be a bearing inside the cover. An exploded diagram of the axle on a GM parts website should show you what is there.
