Default 4x4 problems on 97 S-10 Blazer

My 4HI is not working on my 97 Chevy Blazer. When driving,if I push the 4HI button on my electronic transfer case nothing happens. If I put it into neutral, I'm able to go from 2HI to 4LO and back, but when I push the 4HI when in neutral both 4HI and 4LO buttons blink several times before going back to 2HI. I'm not a mechanic by any means but any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know if this will help, but here's a post by lastcoupe from the DIY section

It turned out to be a bad transfer case encoder motor. Once I replaced, the 4 wheel drive is working normal again.
