4x4 wont engage
Hey im kinda new on this forum cause i just got my blazer for a winter car/trail car. It's a 2000 4dr. Well i bought it from my aunt and she says the 4x4 worked before she sold it to me well i can't get it to engage when i put it in Neutral and push 4hi, 4low, auto4x4. it just blinks and eventually goes back to 2wd. when i push the buttons you can here something like a gear(idk?) move under the car maybe an actuator on the transfer case. idk a whole lot about 4x4. But i did check the vacum pump under the batery tray it has vacum and i checked all the lines they seem to be good. So im kinda puzzled, i've been considering taking it somewhere but my luck its something simple. So if you guys could give me any sugestions or things to check out. let me know?
Thanks in advance, Nick

4wd issues have been discussed to great detail in many threads on this forum. Lets start by how many buttons are on your dash.
Check out the Tech Article section for some helpful threads on the NV233 transfer case (3-button). Search for NV233 (3-button) or NV236 (4-button) for threads discussing them.
