89 S10 blazer - Diff. lock spring???
Ok, i'm a newb here, and i already know what's wrong with my 4x4. i just need someone to confirm the part name, or send me a picture with a name of this part so that i can order it and install it. here is a description of the part, it's location on the truck, and what the dealer says it "might" be;
the part looks like a key ring, or G-clip. - a circle with a prong sticking straight into the middle of it. it's metal and about the diameter of a nickel.
It's located under the truck at the end of the actuator cable on the outside of the fork(more like a tube) that's attached to where the actuator cable connect to the differential. the cable slides into this "tube" on the differential, and this "clip" goes around the outside of the tube. the prong on the inside of this metal clip slides into a hole on the tube, and will catch in the groove on the end of the cable once inserted. when the actuator pulls the cable, the cable catches this "clip" and locks the diff.
The dealer says it "might" be called a -Differential Lock Spring-. NOW, i've scowered the internet looking for pictures, part numbers, anything that would lead me to what this part is called, so i can order it from the dealer, but i have had 0 luck in finding my bounty. so i pose the question, because i know someone here knows what i'm talking about above, and can lead me to the light. any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

RE: 89 S10 blazer - Diff. lock spring???
I think they call it a clutch cable retainer spring, even though it's a spring in the right front axle that the actuator cable locks into.

One another note. How hard is it to replace that cable coming out of the diff to the actuator? Mine goes in too 4 wheel drive with no problem but it does not like to disengage the front axle. You have to keep cycling the switch to finally get the axle to disengange.
