I have a 93 4dr S10 Blazer, CPI engine with the 233 Electronic transfer case. Had issues with the encoder motor shifting the transfer case, so i replaced it. Now, it will shift into 4HI with no issues. Shifts into 4LO without a problem. However, it refuses to shift to 2wd from 4HI. it will click 3 times and stay in 4hi. Tried rolling in fwd and reverse, neutral, park, and anything in between. It will shift between 4HI and 4LO all day no issues, but it will not return to 2wd. The front axle disconnect works fine. I did manage to get it back into 2wd seemingly by luck after trying for 45 minutes or so. What should I look into? Try a different encoder motor? It was installed correctly (installed while in 2wd). Winter is coming up and I would like to be able to shift into and out of 4x4 for winter.
