Default 96 4x4

i have a 96 four door blazer and it runs fine just had the usual solenoid problems and bad fuel pump. but i have no 4x4 i can put the truck in 4lo and its all jerky like it should be but i have no wheel spin in the front at all. I took it to a local transmission shop and they checked the vacuum lines and said that they were fine. they also manually engaged the cable but the wheels still do not spin. so could there be a peice missing in the cv joints? maby a link or somthing...

In my dads 96 Blazer LS in 4WD, if the back wheels start slipping, the front wheels will pull it out.

Sorry for the bump

If you pulled on the cable and it still did not lock in the front differential, then there is something wrong in the engagement mechanism in the axle itself. It is located in the passenger axle extension tube.
