Smile 97 blazer electronic 4X4 problem

Hi everyone bin doing alot of searching and can't seem to find any info on the electronic 4X4 system in my blazer only the vacuum one, my blazer 4x4 works i hear the electroic switch on the transfer case engage into 4hi and then dis-engage and go back to 2hi, but some times when it goes from 4hi to 2hi the front diff will stay engaged I hear the hum of the front end still, then after a short time the front end jurks for a split second and finally dis-engages back to 2hi

so my guestion is were should I start? at the electronic actuator under the battery or could the actuator cable just be seized?

sorry for the long post just haven't had time to really look it over and was hopping i could get some help possibly narrowing it down

thank you any help is greatly appreciated

You have the NV233 transfer case and, as such, you have the vacuum actuated front axle which is completely different than how the transfer case is actuated.

You could have a sticky switch on the transfer case or possibly a sticking cable from the vacuum actuator to the front axle.
