Default 97 Jimmy T bar bolts

Hi guys, I finally got the nasty bounce out of my front end. Unfortunatly I decided to have a shop do it for me. I brought my Jimmy into the shop and asked them to adjust it back to the factory ride height. They did and I noticed a huge difference on how the front end sat. It raised it almost 2 inches. Yes my T bars were that weak. I crawled under there to look and see how much they adjusted the bolts and the drivers side bolt is turned all the way in and the passengers side has about 2 threads showing.

Obviously I dont have any further adjustment left so what is my next option. Replace the tbars? Buy indexing keys? What would be the best option? Thanks for your help.

The safest option is to replace the bars. If yours have already weakened that much, putting indexed keys in is only going to mask the problem which will eventually come back.

I was thinking the same thing. Now where is the best place to buy them at?

You could try your luck with a used set. There are different diameters (which relates to the spring rate) available. There should be a thread in the Lifting Tech section that details the part numbers, diameters, & weight ratings.

Good info to know. Thanks I will take a look into what I need.

One last question, is there a section that will give the stock ride height on my vehicle? Not the Z height but the actual ride height.
