Default adjustments for 2" body lift

I just ordered my 2" body lift tonight and I need to know what its going to affect. I have a 1997 Jimmy, automatic shifter on the floor, Will the shifter be affected? what about steering?

Shifter is via a cable. Steering will expand.

soI wont have any problems.
One more thing, I have been reading articles about installing body lifts and I have come across a few that said there is no reason to remove the front and rear bumper, the radiator, and so on. Is it fairly easy on these type of SUV's?

Default RE: adjustments for 2" body lift

I have a 3" body lift on my 94 the issues I had were : the filler and breather hose from the gas tank fixed with a piece of pipe to extend the filler and a new longer breather hose, I had to reroute several wire harnesses, the fan no longer sat in the shroud so I replaced it with an electric fan from the bone yard, the stock steering shaft bound up bad at the angle and I replaced it with a jeep shaft with u joints, the brake lines from the abs module to the frame were fixed by stretching the coiled section until it was long enough, the bumpers don,t line up with the body but I,m working on custom bumpers, I'm sure theres more but I can't remember now. It wasn't that bad but even with the 3" body lift an 2" susp lift I still have to cut the fenders to clear 11.5" wide 31" tires. BUT.. it looks awsome and is worth it. Hope it works out for you.
