A month ago, while driving I heard a sound like what sounds like a playing card on a bicycle wheel, which I thought was the passenger side CV axle. I got around to pulling the CV axle and found scorch marks and a bad axle seal. I’m not sure what I need for pulling the bearing on the inside, but I’d like to get it changed. I have some pics of the inside of the axle and the CV axle.
I happen to have scanned the pertinent pages from my 99 service manual that I have attached below. I looks like you have take the axle and axle housing off to get at the seal and bearing. (see attached)
I also replaced the bearing on the drivers side a few years ago and you might find the tool I used might work. I forget where I found it, eBay or HF, but I think it is not uncommon. https://blazerforum.com/forum/steeri...ng-seal-97814/
Those look correct, but I like to cross-reference parts ar RA with what I find at a GM parts seller to double-check. This is pretty easy by going online and looking at the exploded parts diagrams. You might even find they have the part you want!
You probably will want to replace any other parts that are easy to get to while you are at it.
